This Virtual Reality example was created to showcase a “drill down” navigational technique using a “doll house” depiction of a three-dimensional building model and site plan. Various entry points into the building and site are made possible using this way-finding approach. To make this real-time interactive experience possible we have used the aid of positional tracking at room-scale, which offers, “360 degree” freedom of movement. This approach to Virtual Reality content creation, is not limited to a series of pre-rendered static imagery (i.e. 360 degree nodal panoramas).
We were honored to have showcased this Virtual Reality prototype as a Presenter at 2016 TAP IN an AIA Dallas/TEXO Educational & Networking Event, (INSIGHT: Technology In Building Design & Construction). This event was held at The Laurel in Grapevine, Texas August 4th, 2016.
